Solution to Abnormal Problems

This tutorial is designed for users who encounter issues during the deployment process or after deployment is complete. Through this tutorial, you can resolve common abnormal issues.

Why can't the gateway be recognized after Ubeacon starts running?

First, ensure that the downloaded Ubeacon tool is not running from within a compressed file.

If the gateway is connected via a serial port, check whether the baud rate of the gateway's serial port shown in the diagram is correct, and whether the switch is turned on. If the switch is not on, turn on the serial port. If the serial port is not recognized, please check whether the gateway hardware and data cable are functioning properly.

If the gateway is connected via a network, please check for the presence of a router or DHCP service within the network, and ensure that the computer and the gateway are on the same subnet. Also, make sure that the computer's IP has been changed to 199 within the subnet.

Why does the gateway recognize fewer beacons than the actual number?

First, confirm that there is no obstruction between the gateway and the beacons. If there is an obstruction, please confirm the distance between the gateway and the beacons. You can temporarily place the beacons near the gateway to confirm whether the gateway can recognize all beacons. If it still cannot recognize them when they are nearby, please contact the manufacturer. If it can recognize them nearby but not at a distance, please confirm the beacon model, distance, and the direction of the beacon relative to the gateway, as detailed in the device installation section.

Why can't one-click deployment be successful?

Currently, one-click deployment only supports a single area, and there can be a maximum of 9 beacons within the area. Please ensure that there is no obstruction between all beacons for one-click deployment. If any two beacons are obstructed, it will cause ranging failure and the deployment will not be successful. If there is no obstruction between the beacons, please confirm that none of the beacons are facing outside the area. If you are sure that the beacons are installed correctly, please try one-click deployment again. If it still fails, please use manual deployment.
