DemoKit Quick Start Guide

This tutorial is designed for users who are deploying and testing with the uBeacon DemoKit. By completing this tutorial, you will learn how to deploy the device and use the uBeacon Tool software. The one-click deployment feature allows you to experience the positioning effect in a very short period of time.

Install Beacons​

Step 1​

Unpack the package, determine the beacon installation method, and here we will demonstrate the adhesive sticker installation method.

Please pay attention to construction safety!

The adhesive sticker installation method is only suitable for short-term testing. If you need to use it for a long time or if the ceiling surface is not conducive to pasting, please use other methods to fix it. For details, please refer to Device Installation Solution | Nooploop Tutorial Center.

Step 2​

Stick the beacons to the four corners of the ceiling in the room, with no particular order required.

Requirements​

To ensure the positioning effect, the following conditions must be met:

  • Beacons should be installed on the same plane.
  • There should be no obstructions between beacons.
  • The distance between beacons should be at least 2 meters.
  • The ratio of the longest to shortest side should not exceed 3:1.

Calibrate Beacons​

Step 1​

Connect the Gateway to the computer using the Type-C data cables. Click on the uBeacon Tool.exe software, which will automatically open in the default browser.

Requirements​

  • The computer system should be Windows 10 or above.

Step 2​

Click the "One Click" button, and a "Deployment Progress" window will pop up. The calibration is expected to complete automatically in about 1 minute.

Test Positioning​

Static Positioning Test​

  1. Hold the Tag and observe the positioning effect. The positioning fluctuation of the Tag and uBeacon in a visible environment is about ±10cm.
  2. There is no need to ensure that the Gateway is in an open space. Obstructions only affect its communication distance, not the positioning.
