Device Operation & Indicators

Basic status can be judged via indicator lights.

When a device is located via the backend, the device will flash blue and green lights rapidly at 10Hz for several seconds.

Gateway

When two-way communication with the backend service is not established, the indicator only reflects network status.

Every 10 seconds, blue and green lights flash together. The number of consecutive flashes indicates the following network status:

  • 2: Connected to server (but no backend service message received yet)
  • 3: Connecting
  • 4: DNS in progress
  • 5: DHCP in progress
  • 6: Network hardware initializing

After receiving a backend service message (via network or serial port), the above network indicator no longer reflects status.

  • Each time a backend service heartbeat is received, blue and green lights flash together once
  • Each time a UWB signal is sent, green light flashes; when a UWB signal is received, blue light flashes

Beacon

When sending a signal, green light flashes; when receiving a signal, blue light flashes.

  • After successful networking: In the default 4-beacon networking scenario, you can see the light flashes about once per second—one green, three blue
  • When networking is not configured: For the first 10 minutes, signals are sent every 1s; afterwards, every 15s. Blue and green lights flash together
  • Networking configured but unsynchronized links exist: When sending a signal, blue and green lights flash together

Tag

When a beacon signal is received, blue light flashes. In the default configuration with one area and four beacons, blue light flashes about once per second. Missed flashes indicate packet loss, which is rare unless there is obstruction or hardware issue.

When no beacon signal is received, the tag actively searches for beacon signals periodically. At the start of each cycle, green light flashes. Seeing the green flash means positioning is not normal.

BlockTag

  • Power-off state: Long press button for 3s to power on; during this, red + green lights stay on. If red light flashes briefly and then goes out, battery is extremely low (< 5%), power-on not allowed
  • Power-on state: Long press button for 3s to power off; during this, red + blue lights stay on
  • Battery < 5%: Auto power-off
  • Battery < 20%: Low battery warning, red light flashes every 5s
  • Charging: Red light stays on
